The role of Continuous Improvement Co-op is to ensure that you’re able to support your team and line manager with:
- Align with line manager and team to identify and lead multiple improvement initiatives / projects of high importance to the business
- Drive process improvement initiatives, including trials, documentation updates, and procedural changes.
- Bring your own passion for change forward with confidence in an environment which fosters a continuous improvement culture across all facilities including integration and innovation of all new relevant and emerging technologies within the industry
- Work closely with all departments and levels of management
- Create and maintain work instructions and SOPs using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as per the documentation and recording procedures.
- Provide input during Requirements Gathering meetings with clients and collaborate with customers as needed.
- Perform other duties as required to support your line manager and to improve processes and achieve operational objectives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), or a related technical field.
- Minimum 6 months and up to 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with expertise in manufacturing industry practices.
- Understand Lean tools such as Kaizen, 5S, and value stream mapping.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally within a large and diverse team.
- Proficient in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience optimizing manufacturing processes for customer service, cost, quality, and productivity.
- Commitment to workplace safety, participation in hazard identification and adherence to safety rule & regulations.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical information effectively.
- Demonstrated success in personal leadership including team management and integration.
- Experience in creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation (e.g., SOPs, work instructions).
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD for tooling and equipment design.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Self-driven and motivated to learn, innovate, and improve continuously.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
